March Print Club: Timeless

This month’s painting is Timeless, a 16×20 portrait. I wanted her to feel like someone who could exist in any era—nothing trendy, just simple, classic beauty. There’s a softness to her, but also a quiet confidence that I kept coming back to as I worked.

I really focused on keeping the skin smooth and natural, especially in the transitions through the cheeks and neck. The warmth in her face paired with the deep reds in her hair and lips ended up being my favorite part—it gave the whole piece a sense of balance without needing anything extra.

I’ve also been experimenting with some new ideas using my 3D printer—working on a few unique art projects that I’m really excited about. I may start designing special pieces to include with future monthly prints, so stay tuned for that.
