January Print Club: The Last Cowboy
Share
January’s print is The Last Cowboy — a piece rooted in strength, solitude, and reflection. I painted this work to capture a quiet moment: a man sitting by the fire at dusk, carrying both the weight and resilience of the life he’s lived.
There’s something steady about this figure. No performance. No noise. Just presence. The firelight against the cool horizon creates that contrast between warmth and distance — between what we hold onto and what we leave behind.
As we step into a new year, this piece feels fitting. January is often a month of reset and recalibration. The Last Cowboy represents endurance — the kind that doesn’t announce itself but simply continues forward.
The original painting will be on display at the Bartlesville Art Show & Sale at Woolaroc, and I’m honored for it to be included in that show.
Thank you for being part of this Print Club and for collecting my work. Your support allows me to keep building and creating with intention.
Here’s to a strong start to the year.
