April Print Club: Magenta Bloom
Share
This month’s painting is Magenta Bloom. I’ve always been drawn to florals, and this one felt especially calming to paint. I loved getting lost in the layers of petals and watching all of the deep magenta tones slowly come together. The closer I worked into the rose, the more soft and abstract it started to feel.
This piece ended up being one of those quiet paintings for me—no pressure, no overthinking, just enjoying time in the studio and letting the painting develop naturally. Those are always the moments that remind me why I love painting in the first place.
We also spent the last weekend in April at the Edmond Art Festival, which was such a refreshing and encouraging experience. I always leave those events feeling inspired after getting to meet so many people, hear their stories, and watch them connect with different pieces in their own way.
Thank you again for supporting my work and being part of this journey with me. Every print, message, and kind word truly means more than you know.
